The SATRE
Evaluation Catalogue
The Standard Architecture for Trusted Research Environments (SATRE) specification is a consistent, transparent and trustworthy approach to Trusted Research Environments in the UK. It provides an open, community-led specification that supports the design, operation and improvement of TREs, bringing together best practice in information governance, computing technology, data management and public trust. By giving organisations a shared framework for assessing their TREs, SATRE makes it easier to identify strengths, prioritise improvements and demonstrate a commitment to safe, high-quality research with sensitive data.
This Evaluation Catalogue provides the TRE community the mechanism by which to evidence their alignment to best practice implementation as defined by SATRE. This is of benefit for engagement with data governance requirements, enabling transparency, demonstrating trustworthiness, and improving the sensitive data research capability landscape in the UK and beyond.
